Florida is one of the bigger states as far as State Championships go with nine classifications in total. Teams who compete in the powerhouse 9A and 8A Classes are the teams we typically see in the rankings, and after the most recent Thanksgiving Day list, No. 29 Oviedo tops them all as the highest-ranked team in the state of Florida. The second-highest, St. Thomas Aquinas, made its debut in our rankings at No. 63 after downing Class 8A favorite now-No. 73 Plant in the State Final.
