A year ago, Texas Image and MAVS crossed paths in their first match on Day 2 playing in 17 Open at Junior Nationals. Texas Image finished the tournament tied for third while MAVS came in 10th.

On Monday, the two clubs were staring at each other once more, already having clinched bids and getting ready to face off for the KC MLK 18s qualifier title. In many ways though, it was less a reunion and more an introduction, both sides having taken on new looks since last tangling.
