There’s an emerging trend among high school athletes to graduate early and get a jump-start on their college careers. By our count last fall, we noted 36 senior athletes who graduated in December to join their collegiate programs in January. At the time, we thought that was a hefty number, up from years past.

But then we realized there was more to graduating one semester early. Over a year ago the news broke that Logan Eggleston would join the University of Texas women’s volleyball team one full year early, foregoing her senior year altogether. While some people may have been worried that a 17-year-old would be working against four-year college veterans, Eggleston made some noise and had quite the freshman season. She played in all but one set for the Longhorns and scored the second-highest kills on the team with 3.12 kills per set.

This year, we know about four athletes from the 2020 class who have reclassified into the class of 2019. Two are heading to programs in the B1G (Big Ten), one in the ACC, and one to the West Coast Conference. Here is who they are:
