The MADFROG 15s N Black volleyball team saved its best for last, taking the top spot in the final top 25 rankings for non-Open-level squads after winning Gold in 15 USA at the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships this month in Indianapolis.

The North Texas squad went a perfect 11-0 with four three-set triumphs at USAV. MADFROG outlasted Sky High-Adidas 15 Black of Illinois 25-22, 25-23 in the final.

“It was awesome,” said MADFROG coach Michele Tucker, who wore a “Fear the Frog” T-shirt during the title match. “We defeated a lot of good teams throughout this tournament. Going 11-0 is pretty special.”

The USA Nationals capped a long club season that included some highly-competitive qualifiers throughout the country in March and April. Some squads competed in both the AAU Volleyball Junior National Championships at Disney and at the USA Nationals, making for an exhausting run that lasted from the third week of June until the first week of July.
