Court Report (Oct. 11): Glue Players and Seven Matches - Win or Else
FacebookTwitterEmailPrint

The high school volleyball season is winding down with several states and areas wrapping up their regular-season play. That doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to dish on this week (there is!).

To open, we'll hear from rankings guru John Tawa in his opening piece about the race to become No. 1 by November. Ohio’s Padua Franciscan remains in control and seven matches are all that stands in their way to capture the title of PrepVolleyball.com HS National Champion. See the latest National Rankings from October 10th, here.

Yours truly will pick back up and recall some news from around the country and highlight major Thursday evening matches. This week, we’ve asked coaches to name their “glue player,” the one who adds so much value to the team that we can’t quite measure in numbers.

Finally, we’ll highlight recent milestones and newly-formed records across the country. As the season progresses, so do the statistics and it’s shown in the number of milestones increasing each week!

We’ve chosen a Player and Team of the Week again this week, and several more worthy candidates were submitted – see them all, here.
