We released the Triple Crown National Invitational Tournament (NIT) 15s age division preview on Tuesday and we’re moving along to the 16s group. There will be 51 (!) teams ranked in our top 75 pre-season rankings competing in Kansas City this coming weekend.

The 16s division has 28 pools (A through BB). Four (A-D) of those are power pools, each made up of eight teams. The power pools will essentially be safe on the opening day, playing only to seed the pool for single-elimination competition on Sunday, Day 2, to merge with the best non-power pool teams. To get a better idea of how this tournament flows, you can download the bracket, here.

Eight Frosh 59 athletes (in the actual 59) are playing up a division in KC. Below, we name those players, list the power pools and who plays who, list some dark horses, and pick the winner. We’re running out of time, so let’s get on with it already!
