The first annual Tampa Nike Tournament of Champions (TOC) will be held this weekend just outside of Tampa in Wesley Chapel at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Arena. Twenty-four teams will attend with three hailing from outside of the state of Florida.
To put it lightly, there were plenty of considerations to form this event. Each team, school, county, and state had their limitations and Chad Sutton, coach of host school Cardinal Mooney HS out of Sarasota, also had to consider start times, travel needs, sanctioning approvals, and COVID-19 protocols in creating the schedule. Sutton admitted that making this tournament happen has been a struggle, but it’s still on by “sheer force and will.”
Here we break down the tournament, take a look at each of the 24 teams, and make our best guess at the Gold finishers and finalists. See the brackets and results as they happen, here. The first serve is set for Friday at 1 PM!

On Day 1, teams will compete in pool play with eight pools of three. To advance to the Gold bracket on Day 2, a team must come out first in its pool.
