For much of the season Flower Mound felt underappreciated, key victories not enough to elevate the Jaguars in the state conversation or the national rankings. Instead of focusing on what wasn’t happening, Flower Mound used the slights as motivation. The Jags knew they held the ultimate say in what would be the last thing written about them in 2018.

Those words would be state champion.
