Libero Madison Evans was the biggest contributor of three seniors to graduate from last year’s Class A state runner up Millard North. With the state finals loss to Marian fresh in their minds, the returning players “came in with a chip on their shoulders,” Millard North coach Lindsay Peterson said about 2018.

Determined to return to the promise land, Millard North (38-2) put the finishing touches on a remarkable run last Saturday, one that ended with the Mustangs sweeping Pius X, 25-21, 25-18, 25-21, in the Class A championship match for Millard North’s second title in three seasons.
