Death of Mansfield Summit Junior Brings Grief, Support in Community
The loss of yet another young athlete, 16-year-old Catherine Delgado, adds more grief to the volleyball community. The junior Mansfield Summit HS (Texas) defensive specialist died suddenly last Wednesday as a result of a medical issue. No other details on Delgado’s death have been released.
“It has been a pretty tough week,” said Mansfield Summit coach Linda Alfaro.
