The first day of the first annual Circus City Invitational was not lacking excitement, despite there being five fewer teams than expected due to the anticipated arrival of Hurricane Dorian. The Mooney staff juggled the remaining teams and produced a stellar first day of competition. Coaches and teams seemed to be understanding of the situation and some upsets proved that the strength of the tournament didn’t completely fall off with the current schedule.
