2019 Andi Collins Award Winner: Dowler Kept Green Hope Alive

In 2015, when Sydney Dowler was an eighth grader honing her game in Wisconsin, Green Hope was being ushered from the NCHSAA 4A playoffs in the second round. A family move before her freshman year took Dowler to the Cary, North Carolina school and changed everything for the Falcons. In her four years setting the team, Green Hope was 117-6 and won four consecutive large-class titles. In each state championship match, the 5-11 setter was named state championship MVP.

“Sydney is unparalleled in her volleyball successes here in North Carolina,” said Falcon coach Karl Redelfs.

Today, Dowler adds the most prestigious award we bestow at PrepVolleyball.com to her list of accomplishments: the 2019 Andi Collins Award given to the nation’s top senior setter.
