INDIANAPOLIS – From stunning upsets to heartbreaking injuries, the second day of 15-and-under play of the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships featured plenty of drama from start to finish.

Athletes stepped up their play a notch in the continuation of pool play Saturday, setting up what should be a wild battle in the third round of pool play and crossover and challenge round matches on Sunday. At stake will be berths in the medal rounds to be played Monday.

Making a determined push for the gold medal round in 15 American and 15 National divisions are some of the best up-and-coming volleyball players in the U.S. Although most are entering their sophomore year of high school this fall, they already are playing at a high level and drawing scores of college scouts to their matches.
