INDIANAPOLIS – Nerves and fatigue made for some wild up-and-down play on the first day of the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships Friday at the Indiana Convention Center.
Upsets and injuries hit teams in both the American and National divisions. Pool play continues Saturday. A total of 48 teams from across the country qualified in the National division, while 64 teams qualified for the American division.
Unlike the qualifiers, the USAV Nationals has bigger pools with deeper talent. And that became evident early on as athletes showcased some unbelievable skill.
