The Sunshine Volleyball Classic, formerly known as the Disney Showcase, was this past weekend and featured every age group from 11s-18s. We’ll focus on the 15s-and-up for bid purposes, as teams contested for a spot at Junior Nationals.

Starting with 18 Open, it was different than the younger ages because for most everyone in the field it represented the last chance to earn a way into the field in Dallas next month. OT 18 Aaron was one exception, having qualified already. Boomers 18 Black was another, having a final opportunity to bid at MEQ this weekend. Still, with such a deep field in Indianapolis for MEQ, the Sunshine Classic was Boomers’ best hope.
