At 6-3 and already touching 10-3, one doesn’t need to be a volleyball genius to understand why Bekka Allick was garnering major recruiting attention from a very early age. In the same vein, it’s just as easy to see why she’s playing up on VCNebraska 16 Elite and is already committed to Nebraska as a freshman.
With the school so close to home, once volleyball won out over basketball it seemed Allick was destined to be part of the storied Huskers program. While other top suitors may have stood a chance initially, it seemed any hope they had fell to the wayside once Allick was part of the Nebraska camp.
“I got home and I couldn’t help but keep talking about it,” she said. “I didn’t even make it off campus and I was talking about Nebraska. I couldn’t get it out of my head. That’s how I knew to make that call and make it official. I’m really excited about it. I don’t know how to describe the moment.”
PrepVolleyball.com recently spoke with Allick about her decision.
