After the first day at the Northern Lights 17s/18s Qualifier (NLQ) the field has whittled down from 16 to eight in 18 Open and from 24 to 12 in 17 Open. Quite a bit happened within the walls of the Minneapolis Convention Center, but we’ve got five storylines from Friday that we tuned into. Here’s what we saw…

1 - Nobody knows the rules better at NLQ better than the staff putting on the tournament, Mizuno Northern Lights. In fact, Northern Lights 17-1 was able to change its fate by protesting a play call against NKYVC 17 Tsuanmi and winning.
