Wednesday’s Denver blizzard tabbed the “bomb cyclone” dumped snowed on and around Denver up to two inches per hour. With high winds and icy conditions, the Denver Airport runway and roads leading into Colorado were closed. You can imagine what sort of havoc this weather system caused on the Colorado Crossroads tournament.
With flights canceled and the unknown about how and when teams would arrive in Denver, the flurry only began. In and around Denver became clear within a day, but roads had closed for those who chose to drive and the flights that had resumed the regular schedule were suddenly in demand.
