While most of the country’s clubs, colleges, and organizations have gone dark and turned off sports for the time being due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, others have banded together to keep #VolleyON.
The volleyball community truly has grown into a collectively close-knit group. Competing athletes from across the country have become close friends and their parents use tournaments as a way to meet up too. These coaches and clubs have recognized a need to hold it together tight… without actually coming into physical contact. #VolleyON hopes to be the glue to keep the bond strong.
What began as a movement in California quickly grew to reach clubs from around the United States. As of Sunday evening, 45 club directors had joined from California, Texas, Missouri, Washington, D.C., and Arizona – and the number is growing by the hour.
